Happy Month of September

September – Known as “Yom Kippur” or “Jewish Gateways” HAPPY YOM KIPPUR ...

September’s name comes from the Latin word septem, meaning “seven.” This month had originally been the seventh month of the early Roman calendar.

While many may celebrate this month during Yom Kippur or Jewish Gateways, I’d like to hone in on the word GATEWAYS.

Gateway meaning a doorway or opening to something. Many see this word as a negative thing, while others see it as the unknown thing that is positive. When we have an opening, we are at the start of something new and exciting. Hence the unknown, Gateways are unknown to us in many aspects because we do not know where they lead to.

We may in turn look at this as scary. Putting all of that aside let's go into this a bit further from the spiritual side of things ... Gateways are the spiritual unknown to some of us. We don’t really understand them to the degree that we would like.

Gateways in my opinion is exciting! Doorways to the unknown is like traveling to the universe. Not sure where you are going or what you will see but exciting, nevertheless.

With Gateways we can imagine all sorts of things. It sets our imagination on fire! In a spiritual sense anything that can educate us is a win. While this may only skirt the topic of gateways it’s important to recognize when we are not fully knowledgeable about something but are willing to learn and grow.

September – Ninth Month of the Year

Even though the name suggests it is the seventh month, September is the ninth month of the year.
